I spent a good few hours on Friday evening trying to find out where to buy real Christmas trees in Newcastle and thought it may be beneficial to share my findings.
I absolutely love this time of year and always look forward to an evening of Christmas films and Baileys whilst decorating my house. We decided to put our tree up a bit earlier this year as I am away a lot between now and Christmas, so I purchased my tree on Friday and decorated it last night.
The place we ended up buying our tree from was Broom Hall Farm, which is located in Black Callerton, around five minutes from Newcastle Airport. They had a huge selection of all heights and sizes, which they advised had been freshly cut the week prior. We paid £45 for our tree, which was around seven foot tall and of great quality.
Some of the other places that we have bought from previously are:
IKEA
We have bought our Christmas tree from IKEA for the past few years as they offer a fantastic deal where you pay £25 for your tree and receive a £20 voucher to spend in-store after Christmas. We visited this year again, however all of the trees were only around four foot tall, which was unfortunately too small for what we needed.
The Northern Rugby Club, Gosforth
You can’t miss this place as it has a giant inflatable Santa located at the entrance. They have a great selection of trees available.

I hope this list is helpful and good luck with your shopping!
