Anyone who reads my blog will know that I love to travel so I was delighted to hear that United Airlines and Newcastle International Airport have announced that their seasonal direct service Newcastle to New York flights will return in summer 2016.
I love New York and the fact that we have a direct route flying six times a week from May to September is really great news for the region. What’s more, the flight connects to hundreds of other destinations in America so provides the perfect base for those looking to travel the country.
I visited both New York and Las Vegas last year (as you can see from above) and both had stops at Heathrow (one the day before and the other with a five hour wait), so I’m confident that a direct route from the north east will be well received.
I am currently in the process of planning a fly and drive in the USA with my husband next summer so this will definitely make the trip a whole lot easier. I now just need to make the booking!
Flight UA75 will depart Newcastle daily except Wednesday at 9:10 am, arriving at New York/Newark at 12:00 pm on the same day. The return flight, UA74, will depart New York/Newark daily except Tuesday at 7:20 pm, arriving in Newcastle at 7:30 a.m. the following day.
The flight time will be seven hours 50 minutes outbound and seven hours 10 minutes inbound.
From New York/Newark, United operates flights to more than 300 destinations in North, Central and South America and the Caribbean, including more than 100 served nonstop.
